O płycie

Album "Christmas" to najpopularniejsze świąteczne klasyki w wykonaniu słynnego jazzowego wokalisty Ala Jarreau. Płytę otwiera "Winter Wonderland", którą skomponowali Felix Bernard i Richard B. Smith w 1934 roku dla Guya Lombardo. Album naszpikowany jest też innymi słynnymi utworami, nie mogło więc zabraknąć "The Christmas Song", "Come All Ye Faithful" i "White Christmas," nieśmiertelnego utworu autorstwa Irvina Berlina, po raz pierwszy śpiewanego przez Binga Crosby'ego w musicalu "Holiday Inn" w 1942 roku. Poza tym Al Jarreau zamieścił na płycie własne wersje takich przebojów jak "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", "Carol Of The Bells", "Hark The Herald Angels Sing", "Some Children See Him" oraz "Gloria In Excelsis", śpiewaną w kościołach katolickich w czasie mszy.
