O płycie

Dziesiąty album studyjny weteranów progresywnego metalu. Amerykańska grupa rozpoczęła prace nad płytą - drugą już w barwach Roadrunner Records po "Systematic Chaos" z 2007 roku - w październiku 2008 roku. Okładkę towarzyszącą płycie tak jak poprzednio zaprojektował Hugh Syme (Rush, Iron Maiden) . Produkcją albumu zajęli się perkusista Mike Portnoy oraz gitarzysta John Petrucci, podczas gdy za miks odpowiedzialny jest Paul Northfield. Płyta dostępna jest w 3 formatach: oprócz standardowej wersji osiągalna jest także specjalna trzypłytowa edycja oraz ekskluzywny limitowany box. Podstawowa wersja zawiera 6 utworów, w tym m.in. "A Rite Of Passage", "Wither" i finałowy, blisko 20-minutowy "The Count Of Tuscany".
