Speed / powermetalowcy z Londynu postanowili opublikować swój piąty studyjny album własnym sumptem pod banderą należącej do zespołu Electric Generation Recordings. "The Power Within" to pierwsza płyta Anglików z nowym wokalistą Markiem Hudsonem, który w szeregach grupy znalazł się w 2011 roku. Do promocji wybrano "najszybszy utwór" w karierze zespołu - "Fallen World". Materiał ukazał się również w formie płyty winylowej i drogą elektroniczną; oba formaty wzbogacone o alternatywne wersje utworów "Cry Thunder", "Heart Of The Storm" i "Avant La Tempete".
