Po blisko czterech latach czekania postępowi metalowcy z francuskiej grupy Gojira przypomnieli się swoją piątą płytą studyjną. Istniejący od 2001 roku kwartet w niezmienionym składzie - Joe Duplantier (śpiew, gitara), Mario Duplantier (perkusja), Christian Andreu (gitara) i Jean-Michel Labadie (gitara basowa) - materiał zarejestrował w nowojorskim studiu "Spin", a jej współproducentem został Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God).
